Pitch perfect 1 download torrent

The romance was exactly what I was looking for, and the added bonus of the strong friendship between Emmy and Tucker was wonderful. The baseball way of life and the players within it pulled me into their world and I was sad to see it go. I give Pitch Perfect a B. View all 4 comments. When she is offered the position of head athletic trainer for the San Francisco Felons, she jumps at the chance; packing up and leaving Chicago without a second glance.

Tucker Lloyd, star pitcher for the Felons, is returning to the active roster after a year off for elbow surgery. This gives Tucker the green light to act on his feelings for Emmy and soon they embark on a hot steamy relationship. A sport dominated romance contemporary that balances the ins and outs of baseball with a light hearted romance.

With a personable cast of characters and an entertaining informative look at baseball from Spring Training to the Division playoffs, this book should have swept me off my feet. A hot male lead, intelligent heroine, realistic plot lines, and some smexy times everywhere in between should have engaged me from the start and not let go. Unfortunately, I found myself bored less than halfway through. This book had no real conflict or emotional turmoil. From the very beginning to the end, everyone and everything is nice and polite.

Everything resolves with little fuss. The plot elements are predictable as is the romance. The individual elements were good but the execution failed for me. I did like her and Tucker became friends first but I would have enjoyed seeing that evolution myself.

It becomes a case of tell not show. Once they are free to act on their feelings, the chemistry heats up and we are privy to some very nice and detail oriented sex scenes. What saved this book for me were the characters and the baseball story line. I liked Emmy and Tucker individually.

They know what they want, both personally and professionally and have worked hard to get where they are. They are likable protagonists. I found the interaction and dialogue between the players hilarious. Her love of baseball is evident. Overall Rating: C I have to thank Sierra right off the bat for giving me the chance to read this book as I adored the chemistry you feel from the beginning between the main pair.

You also get some lovely secondary characters that I am beyond ready for their stories hint hint. Add to this the fact that she captures a loyal Cubs fan perfectly and man I was in love. Emmy is ecstatic to finally be a head athletic trainer. She's always wanted it and has worked very hard to get where she is in a world dominated by men I have to thank Sierra right off the bat for giving me the chance to read this book as I adored the chemistry you feel from the beginning between the main pair.

She's always wanted it and has worked very hard to get where she is in a world dominated by men. She's a bit distracted and plows into two baseball players as she turns a corner one of which is her team's star pitcher.

As she starts working with him on his rehab she gets a complication she doesn't want but can't avoid - she's attracted to him on both a physical level and more importantly an emotional one. She's involved with someone but as she and Tucker spend more time together the lines keep getting blurred. Thankfully both of them really do work hard to keep the relationship on the up and up while she is still "technically" with someone else and when she finally lets the hammer fall on the old relationship all bets are off.

I liked that she didn't want to trade on her dad's fame and that she really did understand that it was what people would try to focus on in addition to being female. She's smart and very loyal to those around her even if they don't deserve it. Tucker is at a point in his career where he is wondering if this will be his last year or can his body withstand another year doing the thing he loves.

He isn't looking for a relationship but is instantly attracted to Emmy and wants to find out where it could lead. When he finds out she is taken he respects the boundaries while pushing them as much as he can.

He knows the relationship she has is a dead one and not truly a happy one but he does respect it even as he develops a friendship with her while making it clear he wouldn't mind it becoming more.

I liked how much he was willing to put himself out there for her and man when the relationship was kaput he turned on the heat. He's such a good guy that you want him for yourself. I also appreciated how he took Emmy's professional advice and really used it to help his career continue.

This is a good pairing that you will love watching build up via friendship and flirting to something that will definitely withstand the rigors of MLB and time. Thanks again to Sierra for giving me the chance to read this in exchange for my honest review. I wouldn't complain if anything else in this series "accidentally" ended up in my mailbox. This is the first book is a new baseball themed contemporary series by Sierra Dean. So far we know her from her paranormal Secret McQueen series, which i love.

She's taking a crack at baseball this time. Tucker Lloyd is a aging baseball pitcher at 36 years old. He's coming off a surgery and a years worth of therapy getting his arm back in shape. Emmy Kasper is the daughter of a famous baseball player and game announcer and a the new Athletic Trainer for the San Francisco Felons and she's a rare This is the first book is a new baseball themed contemporary series by Sierra Dean.

Emmy Kasper is the daughter of a famous baseball player and game announcer and a the new Athletic Trainer for the San Francisco Felons and she's a rare breed in baseball as there are few females in her position. She's tasked with helping Tucker get back on track and become the pitcher he used to be. If he can't get it together he's probably going to be traded off.

There first time seeing each other is a crash meeting literally when Emmy runs him down almost with her bike and hits the pavement hard. Sparks fly between the two but there are things that should prevent them being together. First Emmy has a boyfriend although it's not much of a relationship these days and two they kind of work together and that's probably another good reason.

They decide to try and be friends instead. Emmy struggles with her feeling for Tucker all the while trying to keep a professional distance. She finally realizes that her relationship with boyfriend is over and breaks up with him clearing the way with Tucker.

After a night trying to meet Tucker's best friend Alex drink for drink in a bar all the while confessing her feeling for Tucker she wakes up at Tucker's house. Things take off between the two then but will it how will it end? I love the all the characters in this story. Tucker and Emmy are awesome.

These aren't young 20 somethings with both being in their 30's. They've lived some life and that's really refreshing. Alex, Tucker's best friend is fun and flirty with something a little dark inside and will make for a great main character in the next book.

I felt like i knew these people by the end of the book. Like they could be someone you might hang out with. The dialogue lends to that feeling.

I'm not big into baseball. I watch it occasionally especially if the Detroit Tigers are doing something big but i don't feel you need to be a crazy fan to enjoy the baseball talk in this book. It's fairly easy to understand for any non baseball person too.

Sierra Dean rocked this story. Her writing brilliance comes through with this sweet, sexy contemporary romance. I didn't get to the end of it and want my money back but I also didn't think "wow" or "can't wait for the next in the series". I should preface my comments with the statement that I know next to nothing about baseball. I could correctly identify it if seen on tv, I know the very basic rules and that's about it. I tried this book because I've read another series by the author. My main issues were with the heroine.

Emmy is great from the point of view that she's obviously very good at what she does, is leading the way in a male dominated sport, is a great role model for women and is well respected within and outside her field. She's also a complete relationship idiot. How can you date someone for four years, happily walk away from them to live on the other side of the country and accept the reality of only seeing them a handful of times throughout the year NOT maintaining this with phones calls etc and consider it a healthy relationship.

It's friends with benefits. I'm not knocking long distance relationships but this wasn't one. They hooked up when they saw each other and otherwise it was pretty much out of sight out of mind and yet this was the reason held up to not pursue a relationship with the hero - I've got a boyfriend.

Err no you don't. I liked Tucker. He's a nice guy with a good attitude who is realistic about himself. This story lacked an obstacle and the author keep hinting at ones but because they weren't really obstacles it never really worked. There is no work obstacle - neither of their contracts precludes a relationship.

The GM is hinted at being a bad guy ish but he's just a bit of a pratt. The ex writes an article praising Emmy for her success within a male dominated field and this is somehow an issue but again isn't really. The team and everyone knowing is worried about and yet they risk sneaking about hotels and are openly affectionate in public because press only exists at the stadium???

So we're always worrying about little things rather than dealing with something. The climax of the book is the no-hit game which didn't really impact me due to my lack of baseball knowledge.

I can understand it's a big thing but the true significance was likely lost on me. Overall, it's possible you need to be a baseball fan to appreciate this book. I enjoyed reading it but I won't be scouring websites for details of future releases. Tucker is a baseball pitcher from a San Francisco Felons who is almost at the end of his career. After a major surgery, a sports trainer…a very attractive trainer, is brought in to help him recover. Of course, Emmy is not single , but that status does not last very long.

I thoroughly enjoyed this new sports novel. It has good humor, very sweet and sexy scenes , and I love the characters. I thought Tucker was a sweetheart. I really enjoyed that he was straight forward with his feelings and attractions for Emmy. And his overall persona just screamed sexy. But what I did find attractive was her independence. I love that she is standing on her own in an unfamiliar city. Anyone that can do that even for a job earns my respect.

Dean did a great job with these two. I like her writing and the voices she gave her characters. She also did an awesome job with the setting. Certain scenes in the book that mentioned places, scenery or neighborhood was pretty accurate. Dean created a charming love story between a pitcher, his trainer and their love for the game. Pitch Perfect is an awesome and sweet read. I'm a fan of Sierra's work but I was hesitant in reading this book since I know nothing about baseball because it's not a sport here in Brazil that people play.

But I start reading and I fell in love!! She didn't use the predictable "sports jerk" that so many stories have, making Tucker a grown up,delightful, and a REAL man. Emmy is an adorable woman, have her job on the team making medical decisions about the players and don't let anyone intimidate her because of her hard calls.

When Tucker and E I'm a fan of Sierra's work but I was hesitant in reading this book since I know nothing about baseball because it's not a sport here in Brazil that people play. When Tucker and Emmy met it's in an accident before the "official" meeting on the team and from there we can see they have chemistry. They had two problems to their relationship become something real: emmy's boring boyfriend,Simon, that she didn't want to break up with him for fear of the unknown and their jobs together on the team.

The late decision to break up with Simon took long enough for them Emmy and Tucker to became friends and realise they love each other. The truly exciting part of this book was the baseball games an important part of the book ,Sierra made me feel alive with the descriptions even I have no idea about the rules of this game!

She made me want to be a part of a team!! And when I talked to her on twitter she gave me the suggestion about the "Detroit Tigers" lol. So,the book is fun, have the heart a heart that we love, the complications, the masterpieces sex scenes hooot ,the exciting baseball games and two characters with real problems and not full of bullshit. Oh, this book hit all the right notes with me. Emmy and Tucker's love of the sport shines through in everything they do.

The friendship between Alex and Tucker was just SO fun! Right, but let's talk a little more about our leads. Emmy is good at her job and she's damn happy to be doing the thing she loves. The fact that she has Oh, this book hit all the right notes with me. The fact that she has to give Tucker a little TLC to keep him on the top of game is just a side benefit. Yeah, right. Those two try to keep their googly eyes to a minimum but Lots of them. I love the two of them together.

They are seriously sweet and sexy. Their romance is the type that makes me grin like a loon. So, I live close-ish to San Francisco and I must say that this book captured the feel of the city nicely. Between the fog and the damp and the cheers of the hometown team, I was sold. Speaking of which, this entire book is just brimming with love for the game. I'm not a huge baseball fan or, umm, sports fan at all, really but I was sucked in and spit out when Tucker was on the mound, in the zone.

Well played, Sierra Dean. Well played. A book that starts with a slow-burn romance and ends up fast and furious. Highly enjoyable, sweetly sexy, and just the thing when I needed a pick-me-up!

Hmmm, not sure what to say about this one. In this case, that wasn't the issue. There was never any doubt in my mind that view spoiler [ Tucker would get his perfect game hide spoiler ]. Emmy and Tucker were just too nice. Alex was nice, Jasper was nice, the little we saw of Alice was nice, even Simon was nice. Did it demand to be written? If so, why? On the upside I learned a little about baseball — previously a closed book. Just what i needed, a cute baseball romance. All the baseball talk in my town had me craving a baseball book.

And I got it. One thing I didnt like was that Emmy cheated on her boyfriend even tho the relationship they had was unconventional, it was still a relationship. Emmy and Tucker danced around each other because of their profession but theres something hot simmering under their facade.

Tucker had a this aura about him that isnt normally in sports romances. He wasnt a player when it came to Just what i needed, a cute baseball romance. He wasnt a player when it came to women and he was genuinely a great guy. Emmy seemed like a great match for him but she's not sure about what they could mean to each other. But thing fall into place. Tucker does more than amazing when he's on the mound and off, if you know what i mean ;P and Emmy finally lets go in order to open herself up for love.

I think theres a book about Alex, the catcher. Good fun. I loved reading the baseball scenes and all about rummy's job as an athletic trainer, also loved the scene where she got drunk with Alex :. I really liked tucker and emmy's characters and that there was no insta love and emmy wasn't immediately pining for tucker and that tucker wasn't an asshole which is so popular in these types of books.

But I wasn't really feeling the romance, I thought they were more good friends than anything else. I also would have liked more and better dialogue Good fun.

I also would have liked more and better dialogue between characters no just tucker and emit but also emmy with the other guys on the team e. The banter between tucker and Alex and the other guys was good though, fun to read you really felt their longstanding friendship.

All in all an enjoyable read for anyone who likes reading about sports specifically baseball with a dash of romance. I so thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a breath of fresh air.
